Introduction to generative models
In our talk we present a historical introduction to neural networks, with particular attention to deep models and convolutionarchitecture. Next we discuss in detail the classical generative models (GAN, WAE)and present their possible applications and generalizations. We finish the talk with discussion of the currently developed projects in our machine learning group (GMUM).
Jacek Tabor holds a professor position at the Institute of Computer Science and Computational Mathematics of the Jagiellonian University and is the leader of the research group GMUM. In the current year he obtained the FNP-TEAM research grant “Biologically inspired neural networks”.
Przemysław Spurek received a master degree from mathematics at the Jagiellonian University, Krakow,Poland, in 2009. In 2014 he obtained his Ph.D. in computer science at the Jagiellonian University. Currently holds an assistant position at the Institute of Computer Science and Computational Mathematics of the Jagiellonian University and work in research group GMUM.
